Gua Charas

Visited on 23rd December 2025. Greeted by the dogs. The dogs will not harm. Can just give food. Have to be careful when going up to the temple as the stairs and pathway can be wet. Apparently we reached early where the priest haven't reached yet. So we used the opportunity to have a closer look at the hindu gods statues. Good vibe.

Worth the visit if u are visiting kuantan. The cave was easy to reach via a short flight of metal steps. The inside of the cave was magnificent although there were some grafitti on the wall. But compared to the cave I visited in Ipoh, the one in Ipoh was more breathtaking. If u drive there, beware u have to pay 3 rm for the parking..

This was a delightful surprise during our visit to Kuantan—a true hidden gem. The place is beautiful, and the cave experience was truly memorable. Although the steps inside are a bit narrow, the walk is absolutely worth it. The Hindu deity statues are divine and create a very calm, uplifting atmosphere. Further inside, the Sleeping Buddha statue is beautifully placed. I learned that it was positioned so that the morning sunlight falls gently on Buddha’s face, which is why the monks chose this location. That detail made the experience even more meaningful. Overall, it was a peaceful and spiritual experience. I’ve already recommended it to many friends and would love to visit again on my next trip

There’s a SivaLinggam inside this cave. Mesmerising. The atmosphere inside the cave is nice. Different kind of vibrant. Hope the local authorities maintain this place well. Be careful if you travel with children. Saw some cave snakes and hundreds of Bat on the way to the SivaLinggam. Close at 5pm.

Have been here few times, such a peaceful place and a perfect spot to visit if came across Kuantan.
