Sri Manja Boutique Hotel

Lately, we have been staying here practically every week...its like our second home now!!! We stayed here for 5 days and 4 nights, and it turned out to be a very positive experience after all...My wife was not so keen to stay here, mainly due to the negetive reviews she had heard and read. But I was not too convinced, until we actually try it ourselves. Well, I guess now we can finally put those nasty reviews to rest, as we only have glowing ones to share... We only came here for the Iftar Dinner with our foreign guests, and it was an eye opener for them. They were impressed with the buffet spread, as they were not so familiar with the local dishes and delicacies, which they found to be exquisite and delicious. They also abhored the attitudes of some patrons who piled up on the various foods before it was time for the breaking of fast, but then simply abandoned the abudance of foods they took, contributing to the overwhelming wastages...

Parking: The parking right in front of the hotel is paid public parking. You can park for a while to check in (don't need to take out your luggage from the car yet). They provide free parking at the basement of the hotel. Parking space not that much but not too little; sufficient if not peak period. There's a lift there that leads to the rooms. Room: The room is relatively nice. For the price, it should be expected though. When I entered, the room and toilet smelled good. Spaciousness is just nice for me (can do a cartwheel). Room lighting is good. Some stains on the bed but not bad, I can overlook them. Also some dents(?) on the floor. Rubbish bin provided in the room and toilet. The room I got on the first floor overlooks the front car park and shop lots. But damn, these windows need some cleaning, full of green and black mold. Lucky on the outside only. Aircond is at 16°C but not that cold. For me, it's okay because I don't like it cold. Noise: Room quite soundproof. Don't really hear any noises from neighbours unless they enter the room (or maybe there aren't that many occupants idk). Although my room faces the street, I don't hear the traffic. The only sound is the aircond and exhaust fan in the bathroom. Amenities: NO toothbrush/paste. Only soap and shampoo. 2 bottled waters and coffee mix provided. Kettle, hair dryer, laundry bag and safety box available in the room. NO fridge. Bathroom has towel for floor but it is quite stained (can't really see in the picture but it's there, I'm just lazy to take a better shot). Towels feel used, like the thread all coming out but still okay lah for me. 4 plug points in room, 2 of them near the bed. Best part is the have port for cable. I forgot to bring my charger head, and that is a life saver. Bathroom: Water in the sink quite slow to go down. Sink supposed to have hot and cold water but I don't think that function works anymore. Shower water pressure kinda weak and not really flowing well. Hot and cold water for shower works. Payment: Can use TnG to pay the sustainability fee (RM3/night) but no TnG points lah huhu. Need to pay deposit RM50. Eateries: There are a lot of eateries and convenience stores nearby, most walking distance also can.
