Swiss-Bell Hotel Kuantan

I had a pleasant stay at Swiss-Belhotel Kuantan. The room was clean and comfortable, although some parts of the ceiling looked a bit yellowish. Breakfast didn’t have too many choices, but I really liked the egg station. As someone from Terengganu, I think the nasi for nasi dagang could be improved, but the gulai ikan was delicious! I also ordered in-room dining for two days, and all the dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. The sambal belacan wasn’t spicy, but it had a really nice flavour. The location is excellent, close to many seafood restaurants and right near the city centre. Parking can be quite limited, but the staff, from reception to the café team and even the parking guards, were all friendly and helpful. Overall, a nice experience and I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

The room is very spacious and very clean (except the worn silicone in the bathroom - which is very common in hotels...). Me and my family loved it so much. Breakfast is decent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic stay. Disliked - The towels are grayish colour not very pleasant, but clean, nonetheless. There's practically no dry beach outside the hotel, the tide brings the water almost right up to the hotel. But could be an interesting walk during low tide though.

I’ve had two disappointing experiences here! During my first booking around mid-October, I arrived at about 6:30 PM after a long day of meetings. The front desk staff, a guy named Ahmad and a lady whose name I didn’t catch were extremely unhelpful and refused to allow me to pay the deposit slightly later after check-in. Instead, they abruptly cancelled my booking just because I didn’t have cash on hand for the deposit. The lack of understanding and empathy was shocking. Recently, I decided to give this hotel another chance for a short one-night business stay. While the check-in process was smoother this time, the parking system remains a total mess. I briefly stopped before the valet area just to return the room key during check-out at 8 AM, and yet the guard scolded me harshly for parking in the “wrong” spot even though it was barely two minutes. Such an unpleasant and unnecessary experience. Overall, the hotel management seriously needs to improve staff attitude, customer service, and parking logistics. It’s unacceptable for a supposed 4-star hotel to treat guests this way. I’ve already submitted a formal complaint to MOTAC regarding these incidents.

Nice modern hotel with great location. + Strategic location, easy reach within walking distance to good seafood restaurants & nearby mosque. + Large & clean swimming pool, separate pool for children. Gym is available. - Parking is just a havoc, competing with residents at 1 - 4th floor. Finding one at level 1 during peak period is just pure luck. - Very tight parking ramp, have to manouvre really carefully unless you are driving an Axia. Lots of car marks hitting wall near the ramp! - Check-in process takes too long, and very strict about check-out time. - Beach is so close, yet so muddy. Staying here again? Well, mixed feelings.

We had a pleasant stay at Swiss-Belhotel Kuantan. The staff were excellent—special thanks to Mr. Erfan at reception who was very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, well-stocked, and offered great local options (I tried Gulai Ikan Terengganu for the first time—so tasty, no strong smell, and not too spicy). The only unusual part was our Deluxe Ocean View room location. Instead of a hotel corridor, the access was through the parking area with a designated parking spot. At first, it felt a bit odd and less secure, but the reception assured us of 24/7 CCTV and security. Overall, the room was super clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful ocean view. A nice and unique experience! 🌊✨
