Kuantan River Cruise

Went there during the recent school holidays and had an amazing experience! We were warmly welcomed by Puan Aiman, who was very friendly. Our boat guide, En. Zainal is very knowledgeable and fun, making the whole trip enjoyable. We got to see otters and crocodiles. The cruise also took us out to the sea to enjoy the sunset view. It was both fun and educational. Highly recommended!

Aiman greeted us warmly and was very hospitable and friendly as she helped us to don our life jackets. It was just our party of four but that did not reduce the experience in any way, thanks to Zainal, the operator and skipper of our boat. It was our blessing to be in the hands of such a happy light spirit! His eagle eyes spotted at least 6 crocs, herons, otters, monitor lizards and even a majestic sea eagle in the 2 hours we were together. His enthusiasm and excitement was very infectious each time there was a sighting! He shared knowledge on fishing boats, and the livelihood of fishermen. The boat ride itself was thriling in some parts and calming in others. The hospitality extended from land to boat. Fruit, water and snacks were available on board. What a nice touch. We had a very enjoyable time with Kuantan River Cruise. Highly recommended. Thank you.

He taught us how to identify different fishing boats — including those costing up to RM300,000 — and explained how the river sustains the fishing communities along its banks. We spotted multiple crocodiles resting near the mangroves, and the excitement on the boat was real. Moments later, sea eagles soared above us, circling gracefully in the sky. She even recommended some fantastic local eateries — and yes, we ended up having dinner at one of her suggestions. We took an afternoon river cruise as a family (ages 4 - 64) and really enjoyed it. We were very well looked after from start to finish and learnt a lot of very interesting information about wildlife, the fishing industry and the history of Kuantan from our excellent Captain. Thank you all. Thoroughly recommend this as a great thing to do in Kuantan!
