Manggala Resort and Spa

Just 2.5 hours from Kuala Lumpur, Mangala Resort feels like a true escape from the city… peaceful, lush, and incredibly rejuvenating. I’ve already returned three times because it’s that special to me. The entire estate is beautifully maintained with rich greenery everywhere you look. The food is fantastic, the staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, and the spa is absolutely divine. I only wish I had more time to experience all the activities… so far, I’ve tried archery and kayaking, both were great. And the pool is salt water, very nice! If you’re planning a stay, I highly recommend the Vana Villas. They’re spacious, thoughtfully designed, and the bathroom is what dreams are made of!!!! Especially the outdoor shower, which is such a treat. A perfect retreat when you just need to breathe a little deeper and slow down. Also, try the oxtail soup and scallop salad. My two favorites!

Great place, service and ambiance. The staff’s were super friendly and helpful. The room we booked was the Amani Villa with pool and that was the best decision ever. Had a great time with the paddle boats, cycling and archery activities. Definitely recommended to couples and families for a relaxing staycation.

The rooms are well maintained but there’s a severe lack of sockets around the room, critically no sockets beside the bed which made charging of phones tedious. The check in process can be slow if you have a big group as they intend to create a chill check in prices for you with welcome drinks and you save simply relax on the sofas, but the staff will go back and forth the reception counter to where you are sitting for various parts of the check in which effectively slow the whole process. The dinner wasn’t that spectacular even tho they intended it as a fine dining experience, the ribeye was well made, the turkey wellington was a disaster the best, the pastry was clearly store bought and defrosted which made it soggy and wet when served, furthermore the meat was bland looking as well. The fine dining experience also need to be improved since desserts require special dessert utensils but the waiters only provided a knife for dessert which made us awkwardly eat our cake using a knife. Overall the view was good but being a top tier hotel, it’s these kind of details that makes a difference too.

Stayed at Amani Villa with private pool. Check in was fast and smooth. Front desk service was superb. Room was spacious and clean. Nothing to complain. Pool was fantastic. Breakfast was okay. Liked the nasi lemak and sambal. For those who prefer nature this is the place.

We had a great experience staying here for a mini babymoon celebration for my wife. We were welcomed with a drink and given express check-in service, then taken to our room by buggy. First impression — definitely wow! The room exceeded my expectations. We chose the Amani Villa with Pool — the furniture, cabinets, and pool were all well maintained. We added RM100 for the floating breakfast, and it was worth it! Didn’t get the chance to try out the recreation activities, but they have plenty — including free bikes. Booked a spa treatment for my wife; it came at a premium price but was truly a premium experience. Overall, definitely will come again!
