From the moment we arrived at Mangela, the warmth of their hospitality was unmistakable. Our luggage was taken care of immediately, and check-in was an absolute breeze, we were seated comfortably at the lounge while the staff brought everything to us. No queuing at the counter, no fuss. That small gesture set the tone for the entire stay. Our room was clean, spacious, and came with a lovely complimentary fruit platter. Breakfast was decent and satisfying, nothing over the top, but consistently good. What genuinely stood out was the fresh juice station. It was the first time across all the resorts and hotels I’ve visited that I saw a juicer being used on-site to press orange and watermelon juice. The orange juice was naturally sour, not the sweetened cordial I’ve come to expect elsewhere and honestly, it was refreshing in the truest sense. I finally understood what fresh juice at a resort could taste like. We made the most of every recreational activity available. On our first evening, we joined an exclusive bird watching session just our family, out in the quiet of nature. We spotted some beautiful birds before an unexpected shower rolled in, which added a spontaneous charm to the whole experience. The second day was packed in the best way. We started with the herbs and spices walkthrough, exploring Mangela’s grounds before heading to breakfast. Afterwards, we went cycling with the children riding along at the back a simple joy that felt genuinely lovely. We rounded the day off with archery and paddle boating, before heading back to the room where the children had an absolute blast in the outdoor bathtub. We ended the evening at the kids’ room and spa, then a relaxed dinner to close the night. On our final morning, we joined the nature walk this time alongside another family, which made it all the more enjoyable. The guide walked us through the various plants, trees, flowers, and leaves found within the resort grounds, and it was genuinely informative. Apparently five families had registered, though three didn’t make it after struggling to wake up early, their loss! What tied everything together was the staff. Every single person we encountered from the front desk and buggy drivers to the recreational team, restaurant staff, and housekeeping was warm, well-trained, and genuinely kind. My daughter was particularly restless during mealtimes, and not once did anyone show even a flicker of impatience or annoyance. That level of grace says a great deal about the culture Mangela has built. We left with no complaints and full hearts. Mangela Escape Resort is highly recommended for anyone who values authentic hospitality and a genuinely restorative family getaway.

Overall very satisfied with our stay. Staff are very attentive and helpful. They accomodate our special request to keep our seafood in their freezer. Since the next day we need to go head back to KL and no time to detour to Kuantan. Their front desk is 24hrs so if there’s any issue is easy to reachable. Also we have a minor issue with the toilet smell and they immediately fix it for us. Definitely is a a nice serene place that you can come here for recharge and enjoy nice delicacies. P.S their breakfast has good varities of selections and all tasties!

There's so much room to improve. Extensive marketing shd. include having high rise apartment style rooms catering for Rm280-Rm350 range clintee and above. Since u have a good cycling and paths & off the road paths, can introduce small level cycling competitions. Also have a mini golf course. All these will cater to a wider range of enthusiasts. You need the crowd to make this place a happening ground for the rich & not so. Also make this grounds more accessible to foreign tourists.

Just 2.5 hours from Kuala Lumpur, Mangala Resort feels like a true escape from the city… peaceful, lush, and incredibly rejuvenating. I’ve already returned three times because it’s that special to me. The entire estate is beautifully maintained with rich greenery everywhere you look. The food is fantastic, the staff are genuinely warm and welcoming, and the spa is absolutely divine. I only wish I had more time to experience all the activities… so far, I’ve tried archery and kayaking, both were great. And the pool is salt water, very nice! If you’re planning a stay, I highly recommend the Vana Villas. They’re spacious, thoughtfully designed, and the bathroom is what dreams are made of!!!! Especially the outdoor shower, which is such a treat. A perfect retreat when you just need to breathe a little deeper and slow down. Also, try the oxtail soup and scallop salad. My two favorites!

Negative mindset enter because price abit expensive not at top hills, mountain view,river or backwater boat , waterfall or nature lake but after enter room all becomes positive, 5⭐hospitality all staff, Amani villa room private pool water chill at day, night slightly warmer, selected activities game fee. Food quality really good for dinner and breakfast room service available. It's private property peaceful mind and relax suitable honeymoon couple and family with kids.
