2 weeks agoThe Sungai Lembing Museum is a fascinating place to visit, especially if you're interested in the town's rich mining history. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and happy to share interesting facts, making the experience even more enjoyable. The museum itself was not crowded during our visit, so we could explore everything at a relaxed pace. Walking through the exhibits truly felt like stepping into a time tunnel. The collection of old photographs, mining equipment, and historical displays gives you a vivid glimpse into what life was like in Sungai Lembing during its glory days as one of the world's most important tin-mining towns. It really makes you imagine how people lived, worked, and built their community many decades ago. The only disappointment was that the famous underground tunnel museum was still closed during our visit. It would have been the highlight of the entire experience and made the visit even more memorable. Hopefully it reopens soon, as I'm sure it will add a whole new dimension to understanding the town's mining heritage. Overall, it's a worthwhile stop for anyone visiting Sungai Lembing. Peaceful, educational, and full of history—I would definitely recommend taking the time to explore it.
