a month agoSwiss-Belhotel Kuantan offers a comfortable and pleasant stay, suitable for both leisure and business travelers. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, providing a cozy environment to relax after a long day. The hotel’s location is convenient, making it easy to move around Kuantan and access nearby attractions and food spots. The staff are friendly, helpful, and professional, adding to a smooth and welcoming experience. One thing to note is that the car park is a bit narrow, so it’s best to drive slowly and carefully, especially during peak hours. Overall, the facilities are well-kept and the atmosphere is calm and comfortable. Swiss-Belhotel Kuantan is a solid and reliable choice, and I would definitely consider staying here again when visiting Kuantan.

3 months agoI had a pleasant stay at Swiss-Belhotel Kuantan. The room was clean and comfortable, although some parts of the ceiling looked a bit yellowish. Breakfast didn’t have too many choices, but I really liked the egg station. As someone from Terengganu, I think the nasi for nasi dagang could be improved, but the gulai ikan was delicious! I also ordered in-room dining for two days, and all the dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. The sambal belacan wasn’t spicy, but it had a really nice flavour. The location is excellent, close to many seafood restaurants and right near the city centre. Parking can be quite limited, but the staff, from reception to the café team and even the parking guards, were all friendly and helpful. Overall, a nice experience and I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

a month agoFrom Favourite to Avoid Once a reliable choice for a calming getaway, this hotel now offers a masterclass in how quickly standards can decline once popularity arrives. The Tanjung Lumpur sea view remains excellent and, frankly, does most of the work. Everything else seems content to rely on it. Check-in is no longer a process but an endurance test. Despite guests forming a clear queue, staff often appear uncertain about who should be served next, allowing the most confident guest to advance regardless of arrival order. While good manners should be universal, basic crowd control from hotel staff would not be an unreasonable expectation. Room conditions suggest that “maintenance” is now optional. A constantly flickering television, stained bathroom flooring, malfunctioning blinds, and missing basic amenities combined to create a stay that felt more like a practical lesson in lowered expectations than a relaxing retreat. Any idea of a “healing” experience quickly gave way to quiet frustration. Lift operations are particularly impressive in their consistency, despite having four lifts, one or two are almost always unavailable. This turns simple movement within the hotel into a patience-testing activity, reinforcing the impression of weak operational planning and routine neglect. Breakfast service continues the theme. Food quality has noticeably declined, refills are slow, and previously decent items are now bland and uninspired. Plates arrive bearing food stains, dust, and excess water, which subtly undermines confidence in overall hygiene standards. During festive seasons, the lack of preparation is especially striking. Extra tables appear only after congestion has peaked, giving the entire operation a reactive and poorly coordinated feel. As a long-time and loyal guest, it is disappointing to see this hotel drift toward poor cleanliness, inefficient service, and questionable management practices. Without the sea view, there would be little reason to return. Unfortunately, this visit has reclassified the hotel from “favourite” to “avoidable.” A view can carry a hotel, but only for so long.

3 months agoGood quality and big size room, provide all toiletries as same as 5stars hotel even just 4 stars. Just a bit noisy (soundproof is just so so, hence when other guests walk around and talk along lobby outside of room, we can hear). We really enjoyed the time here, especially we had a good sleep here

3 months agoThe room is very spacious and very clean (except the worn silicone in the bathroom - which is very common in hotels...). Me and my family loved it so much. Breakfast is decent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic stay. Disliked - The towels are grayish colour not very pleasant, but clean, nonetheless. There's practically no dry beach outside the hotel, the tide brings the water almost right up to the hotel. But could be an interesting walk during low tide though.
